With only about 200 of these rare beauties ever built, the 250 GT Cabriolet marked a new era in Ferrari's production program for convertibles with a folding roof.
The 250 GT Cabriolet shared the same chassis as the 250 GT 'Boano' and 'Ellena' coupes and shared the same mechanical components, such as the refined suspension, impeccable brakes and precise steering. It was built for those who respected Ferrari's racing pedigree but wanted something much more civilized, comfortable and practical than its racing counterparts. In 1959, Ferrari unveiled the second generation of this Pininfarina-bodied masterpiece, elevating it to the status of grand tourer version of the competition-based 250 California Spider.
