1960 Jaguar XK 150 3.8 SE DHC | Rock N Roll Classics

In 1957, the XK 150 was introduced as a more than worthy competitor to the BMW 507 and the Mercedes-Benz 300 SL. As the latest evolution of the XK series, this Jaguar was the best and most advanced model in its range. Its styling was updated with a raised belt line, while race-inspired four-wheel disc brakes, the first ever fitted as standard in a production car, provided the stopping power to match the car's impressive performance. Before production ceased in 1961, some 2,600 XK150 Drophead Coupes were produced.

Our beautiful 1960 Jaguar XK150 3.8 SE DHC is one of only 589 DHC models with the highly sought-after 3.8 SE motorization. This enlarged engine capacity was produced exclusively in the last years of production. The result was a powerful DOHC straight 6 with 2X SU HD6 Carburetors, providing an impressive output of 220HP. Of course, with so much power on board, it goes without saying that adequate provisions were needed to bring this car to a safe stop. Therefore, standard 12-inch Dunlop disc brakes were fitted to all four wheels. Moreover, this car is generously equipped with a number of additional options, such as wire-spoke wheels, a Jaguar mascot on the hood and a dual exhaust.

Today the car looks as stunning as ever , tastefully equipped in British racing green over a pale leather interior. The bodywork is in excellent condition, and technically the car is also in top condition. It drives and shifts like new and is a pleasure to drive.
