The most famous sports car of all time, the legend, the of it: the Porsche 911.
To this day, still one of the most beautiful sports cars ever made and its beauty has been praised by all since the very beginning! Based on a design by Ferdinand Porsche his eldest son, Ferdinand 'Butzi' Porsche who brought the beautiful 911 icon into being. As Porsche needed to come up with innovation after the years of success of the 356 models, they had to come up with a more modern design : the 911 was born. In our opinion, this icon needs little further introduction...
It was in 1966 that its proud first owner was allowed to collect the car from the röttger dealer in Hagen, Germany. He chose the beautiful and unique Champagne Gelb with matching black artificial leather interior.
Today, the car is still fully matching. The engine, gearbox and chassis are still these from when the car was new. During an extensive nuts&bolts restoration, no expense was spared to restore this gem to its original glory. Every detail was attended to and originality was of great importance to the owner. The entire process was recorded in a very detailed restoration file based on some 600 photos. The result is more than worth it, the level of finishing of this Porsche is simply phenomenal. The fits are exceptionally good and the panels are perfectly parallel to each other. The Champagne Gelb paint is a treat for the eyes and looks like the car just rolled out of the factory. The correct green counters show just 18 km after restoration. zi You can tell immediately that this was the work of a true specialist. The seats too were taken care of to perfection and finished in detail, they look like no one has ever sat in them before. Steering feels light and precise and seats are so comfortable that you won't easily want to give up your seat again. The overhaul of the original matching numbers engine and gearbox means that this 911 not only looks like new but also drives like new. The air-cooled 2-litre six-cylinder boxer engine produces 130 hp and sounds like music to your ears while the 5-speed gearbox shifts smoothly through each gear. To make driving even more enjoyable, a small performance upgrade was done by installing time-correct and highly reliable Weber carburettors (type 40IDA). A pleasure for every drive!
Nothing is missing from this car, from the original service booklet, manual and certificate of authenticity to even the correct spare wheel that is still in the car. In addition to the original booklets, the history is perfectly complemented by the extensive restoration report
This is the '66 er you are looking for. Fully restored to perfection with an eye on originality, matching numbers& colours and ready for many carefree miles. Now available at Rock 'N Roll Classics!
