In the early 1960s, Ferruccio Lamborghini began to take an interest in sports cars. He founded Lamborghini Trattori, a company that produced tractors and other agricultural implements, and used his wealth and expertise to create a new sports car company, "Lamborghini Automobili". Lamborghini introduced the Diablo in 1990, a new supercar that built on the iconic Miura and Countach. With an aerodynamic design and four-wheel drive, the Diablo became an advanced car ready to make a statement. In 1993, the "Viscous Traction" model was introduced, the Diablo VT.

Our perfectly preserved 1998 Lamborghini Diablo VT Roadster is one of only 200 Roadster versions produced out of a total of 3,000 Diablo's produced. The VT badge on the rear stands for 'Viscous Traction' , meaning that some of the power could be shifted to the front wheels when the rear wheels lost their grip, significantly improving the car's handling.

Finished in the beautiful and original Chiaro Blue paint combined with Crema cream leather interior, this example forms the absolute total picture. The removable hardtop roof can be taken on and off in no time and has its own place above the engine compartment so that it is always within easy reach. Compared to the standard Diablo, it also has slightly larger air intakes and a more prominent rear wing.

As the start of a stunning line of Lamborghini V12 Roadsters, this VT Roadster already set the right tone. This all-wheel-drive monster is powered by a mid-engined 5.7L V12 that delivers 485hp ex-factory. But what makes our example truly unique is that since it was delivered new to its first owner in Switzerland, only 3629 km were put down on the Odometer. This results in the exceptionally new condition the vehicle is still in today , virtually the same as when it rolled out of the factory. You will rarely find them this well-preserved.

The combination of rarity, performance, looks and an important place in Lamborghini history makes this VT Roadster a future collector's item that any collector/enthusiast would want to own. This example meets all requirements, with an attractive colour combination, two owners and only 3629 km on the odometer. Available now at Rock 'n Roll classics and who knows, maybe in your collection soon.
